Rhonda SG * nods... I miss my home there! OH, you won't believe how hard it is to try and get my stuff shipped over to Melbourne! There are just too many strict laws in Australia with regards to the shipment of personal effects! They slap all manner of tariffs, making it too darn expensive, and on top of that, your shipment might be subject to quarantine (even if they aren't living things!!) and fumigation and what-not stuff they wanna do with it! GGGggggrrrrr!!!
honeymouse SG Ya, it's not worth shipping it. If you can bring them with you this time round, do that. Last time my sister was shipping her stereo over to me from NZ after she completed her course, it was just so troublesome. I had to pick them up from the depot at Tullamarine but in the end I rather paid them to clear the custom and deliver to my place.
Wanda SG Is there a age limit to these frivolous ang moh "terms of endearment" like love, darl/doll, hon and what-have-yous? Can they call a 67 yr old ah ma "love", or darl?
Rhonda SG Oh! A quick question. If you live in one of those old 3-room HDB flats that have had an upgrading done and a new Utility Room added, does it now then, become a 4-room flat?
Rhonda SG No age limit. Apparently, no gender limit either! Basically, any human can be called 'luv' / 'darl' / 'sweet' / 'mate' / whatever! I wanted to laugh once when I heard an Aussie bloke talking to his dog and calling the dog 'mate'!
elindra SG The only terms of endearment I use for close friends are 'hunny' and 'darling' I call SO 'Baby'
jetta SG Poor thing. What's the weight limit if you're going to haul as much as you can back with you?
Rhonda SG Back from lunch! *Chiiiiiaaaaaaaangggggg.... Goodness! I have forgotten how lovely duck noodles taste! Is duck expensive here though? There were only 5 very thin slices of duck. Luckily I added one tau pok and one fish cake.
